DEL MAR, CA (April 12, 2014) - Last night at the "Ringside at Del Mar" show at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, Mercito "No Mercy" Gesta (27-1, 15 KOs) defeated Mexico's Edgar "Basuras" Riovalle (37-18-2, 26 KOs) by way of an 8-round TKO. The event, which sold over 1200 tickets, was brought to you by Paco Presents in association with A&T Gym, Don Chargin, and San Diego-based Barron Entertainment.
Gesta looked fast as he marched his way back into the win column. The bout was stopped at the 2:13 mark of round 8. With the victory, Gesta will look to get back into title contention.
"I'm happy with my performance," said Gesta. "I wanted to get the victory by any means and I took him out of there. I was a little rusty but I shook that rust off last night. I know if I continue to work hard I'll get back on top. My goal is to work my way back into another world title shot. I want to thank all my fans who came out to support me."
