Nothing beats a world championship fight in a city who has a hometown hero battling for the title.
This Saturday's rumble in Omaha, featuring WBO lightweight champion Terence Crawford in a world title defense homecoming against Cuban superstar Yuriorkis Gamboa (Live on HBO at 10 p.m. ET/PT) in a battle of undefeated champions, will be Omaha's first world championship fight in 42 years -- when Joe Frazier exited a ring as world champion for the last time -- after stopping Omaha's Ron Stander.
It seems a good time to look back at Frazier vs. Stander. Below, please find links to Mark Kram's feature for Sports Illustrated and footage of the fight.
ENJOY!
