Former undisputed light-heavyweight champion Glen Johnson turned back the clock against 31-year old top-10 contender Yusaf Mack with a 6th round KO stoppage. The younger Mack decided to stay in Johnson’s wheel house from the opening bell and he paid the price.

Mack had his moments and was competitive throughout but Johnson’s pressure, body shots, jabs and right hands over the top were a thing a of beauty. Johnson started slowly but he started to gain steam around the 3rd round and his intensity was fierce.

In the 6th round Johnson pinned Mack into a corner and pummeled Mack’s face with a series of jabs followed by a right hand bomb that crumpled Mack to the canvas. The second knockdown came shorty after when a right cross dropped a badly shaken and bloody Mack to his knees.

The end came courtesy of a short left hook that dropped Mack in the center of the ring for a TKO stoppage. The win earns Johnson a shot I.B.F light-heavyweight champion Tavoris Cloud in what should be an all-out war.

Against Cloud we would have to make Johnson a slight 8-5 underdog against the young killer.
