Shannon Briggs vs Vitali Klitschko Wagering Line

Today in what could be a thrilling heavyweight title bout in Germany, Ukrainian Vitali Klitschko will defend his W.B.C crown against muscle-bound Brooklyn contender Shannon Briggs at 5 PM ET on ESPN 3. The 38-year old former champion Briggs has talked trash about Klitschko for years and will get his chance to display his fistic communication skills against the intimidating belt holder that will be making his 8th title defense. The oddmakers are not giving the big-punching and colorful Briggs much of a chance with his +950 price tag but in a heavyweight title fight between two big punchers you just never know. The Vitali Klitschko vs Shannon
Briggs have Briggs as a +1000 favorite.

Klitschko opened as a -5000 favorite but was quickly bet down by savvy pugilistic investors. Shannon could realistically blow Klitschko out in one round before he has an asthma attack and collapses. Briggs’s one Achilles heal has been his stamina but his punch and Klitschko’s paper skin make him an investment worth making at such a great payout. The Vitali Klitschko vs Shannon Briggs Over/Under is at 9.5 Rounds with the Under at -240.

My Insiders have told me that Shannon trained hard for this fight (which is rare) and that Klitschko did not take this camp as serious as past with his political career taking foot. It really depends on what Shannon shows up. If Shannon “The Cannon” shows up he could be the first to lay Klitschko out on the canvas. Shannon could run and survive completely out of gas after 3 or 4 rounds. Or Shannon could pace himself and box, possibly winning enough rounds to earn a draw or decision.

Klitschko’s handspeed has declined noticeably and Briggs still has quick hands and decent defense. The one main asset that Briggs has on his side is his size because so many of Klitschko’s foes have been dwarfed. Briggs looked shredded at the press conference and his long jab could be a weapon that could throw the normally in command Vitali off his game.Making a two unit play on Briggs now would be a good idea before some more U.S sharks gobble up the value and sink the odds at the American books just before fight time.
