World Boxing Council Mourning loss of Ennio Jacoponi

The unfortunate news came from Rome . Our dear friend, Ennio Jacoponi, the husband of Enza Jacoponi Merchionne, who is the Secretary General of the European Boxing Union and an important part of the World Boxing Council Board of Governors, has passed away.
The WBC declares a day of world mourning due to the deeply felt passing away of our friend Ennio, who was 78 years old and will be remembered forever, as he had been very close to boxing and our organization for many years. Ennio always accompanied his wife at the WBC’s annual conventions all over the world.
May Ennio rest in peace!!
On behalf of all of her friends at the World Boxing Council, we would like to send our deepest condolences to our dear friend Enza and her children, Mara and Pietro.
