Thomas and Ron Hearns

46-year-old Thomas Hearns (60-5-1, 47 KOs) made a successful comebcak to the ring Saturday night, halting John Long (19-7-2, 10 KOs) in the eighth round of a scheduled ten rounder at Cobo Arena in his hometown of Detroit, Michigan.
It was the legendary Hearns' first bout since a second round loss (due to injury) against Uriah Grant in 2000.
On the undercard, Hearns' son Ronald remained unbeaten (7-0, 5 KOs) with a first round knockout of Donald Adams.
