Sam 'King' Soliman
Australian middleweight Sam 'King' Soliman is the new IBF mandatory challenger to undisputed champion Bernard Hopkins' throne after a near-shutout victory over Raymond Joval at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temcula, California on Sunday afternoon. The card was promoted by Goossen-Tutor.

Soliman delivered a dominant performance, dropping Joval in round four courtesy of a monster right uppercut en route to winning by scores of 119-108 and 120-107 twice. With the victory Soliman avenges a 2001 majority decision loss to Joval that was held in the Dutchman's backyard.

According to Soliman's manager Stuart Duncan, who was ringside for the fight, "He smashed him to pieces."

Fox Sports will televise the fight in the USA on July 25 at 7pm, while Australian fight fans can watch the bout on Fox Sports 1 & Optus Sports 1 on July 30 at 8:30pm.
