Freddie Roach on why NO Danny Garcia vs. Manny Pacquiao & updates Floyd Mayweather fight negotiations By way of Doghouse Boxing (Jan 11, 2015) TweetFollow @DoghouseBoxing
"The weight I want to see Manny Pacquiao is 140, says Freddie Roach, adding, "You know I've talked about Danny Garcia for awhile (as an opponent for Pacman), but that doesn't seem to be happening. Garcia is with Al Haymon and since Al and Bob (Arum) don't get along, it makes for big fights not to happen. I like that fight, I think it's an exciting fight for the fans and everybody. You know, Manny is the kind of guy who wants to fight guys who put on a good show" and "Floyd Mayweather, you know it's looking pretty good (Mayweather vs. Pacquiao), but it's still up in the air - there has been some communication and that is a good sign. Pacquiao is going down to 140 unless we fight Mayweather."
