Is SHOWTIME losing cash on Floyd Mayweather Jr's contract? Manny Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach seems to think so.
In this new video interview from ThaBoxingVoice.com, Roach states: "Well, I don't know if SHOWTIME can stand him losing anymore money. They lost their asses so far. It's been bad. Who else out there can he fight and make money with?"
And,
"If the Mayweather fight isn't out there, then I'd like (for Pacquiao) to fight Danny Garcia,"
On why Mayweather hasn't accepted a fight in the past with Pacquiao, Roach says:
"He (Mayweather) says he is better than Sugar Ray Robinson. If he looses to Pacquiao, he can't say that anymore. I think he likes that zero (on his record) too much."
Plus:
"I don't know anyone of Al Haymon's friends, I met him once." And: "My job is not to negotiate, my job is to get them ready for the fights."
Roach also talks about drug testing for the fight (Mayweather vs. Pacquiao) and so much more.
