ESPN commentator Teddy Atlas believes Floyd Mayweather Jr. will retire but only for a year or so. Atlas thinks Mayweather Jr. will retire for a year or so and then make a comeback, and Atlas wants that comeback to be against Gennady "GGG" Golovkin.
In this new video interview (embedded to the left and provided to us from FightHype.com), regarding Mayweather taking off a year, Atlas states: "I think he's going to go away like he did once before. Maybe he'll be away a year and then he'll come back."
Should Mayweather make a comeback, Atlas wants the fight to be against Gennady Golovkin. Atlas states: "Golovkin, if Golovkin is still undefeated at that time. He's got the speed and the smarts to probably outsmart if he's as great as everyone thinks he is."
