At the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas NV- in the co-featured bout, undefeated super featherweight Carlos Velasquez looked impressive, bringing his record to 12-0 (10) by stopping Memphis, Tennessee’s Ira Terry in four.

Velasquez began slow, measuring Terry in the first round, with both men heating up the action in the second, trading shots, with the quicker Velasquez beginning to beat his opponent to the punch.

Velasquez began to separate himself quickly in the third, catching Terry with left hooks to the head. Opening up, Terry would get shaken up towards the end of the round against the ropes, a jolting right hand punctuated the round for Velasquez.

The end came quickly, as the first shot in the fourth, a huge right hand with a follow-up flurry sent Terry face down first, with referee Jay Nady calling an end to the destruction off at :20 of the round.

With the loss, Terry’s record dipped to 24-3 (14).
