In the co-featured bout to Librado Andrade vs. Eric Lucas on Friday night’s ESPN2-televised main event at the Pepsi Coliseum in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada, Haitian middleweight Renan St. Juste, 21-2-1 (14), lost to Florida’s Marcus Upshaw, 13-4-1 (6) with one no-contest, in what was considered a mild upset.

St. Juste turned his back in the fourth frame, after getting nailed with a hard left cross, with referee Jean-Guy Brousseau calling it a knockdown as the southpaw’s left glove seemed to touch the canvas.

The much taller Upshaw went on to win via majority decision with scores of 95-94 and 96-93 at the end of ten. One card read 95-94 for St. Juste.
