Legal Problems Knocks Lundy off of Golden Boy Show

“Hammerin” Hank Lundy’s promoter
Dr. Mario Yagobi of Boxing 360 put the knockout blow to Lundy’s
title elimination bout set for next month. His manager of record
since July 29th 2010 is Philadelphian Ivan Cohen former manager of
Buster Drayton, IBF light middleweight champion. Cohen has a PA
contract with the State Athletic Commission witnessed by Executive
Director Greg Sirb until July 29, 2013. www.dos.state.pa.us/sac/
Lundy’s was scheduled to fight WBC
light welterweight interim champion Lucas Matthysse of Argentina on
January 26th at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas on
Showtime. Promoter Golden Boy Promotions has replaced Lundy with Mike
Dallas, Jr. Lundy is coming off a loss on July 27th in
Atlantic City, NJ, to Raymundo Beltran. Lundy lost his NABF
lightweight title and is now ranked No. 11 in the light welterweight
division by the WBC. The winner was in line for a WBC title fight
with Philadelphia’s Danny Garcia.
Since signing with Cohen, Lundy has had
5 bouts starting August 28, 2010 (Canada), then April 1, 2011
(Mashantucket, CT, Indian Reservation), August 19, 2011 (Hammond,
IND), March 30, 2012 (Mashantucket, CT, Indian Reservation) and July
27, 2012 (Atlantic City, NJ).
