James Kirkland vs Ricardo Mayorga? - 'Mandingo' Back in Austin with Wolfe

What was speculated for weeks has come to fruition. After his shocking first round KO at the hand of Nobu Ishida last month, James Kirkland is now back in Austin, Texas training once again with Ann Wolfe, who worked with Kirkland before his incarceration and his trial run with Kenny Adams in Las Vegas.

According to his attorney, Mike Miller, Kirkland began his reunion with Wolfe today and that a fight with Ricardo Mayorga is being discussed to take place underneath the bantam bout between Josepth Agbeko and Abner Mares on Showtime.

Say what you will, that’s a fun show. I hope it happens. Yeah, Kirkland-Mayorga may be a brawl between two raw sluggers, but then, what’s wrong with that?
