The Danny Garcia vs. Amir Khan fight at the Mandalay Bay on the 14th of this month sold 3,147 tickets, comped 3,364 tickets with 737 unsold for a gate totaling $426,150, according to the NSAC. So there were more tickets given away than sold.
According to Golden Boy CEO, Ricchard Schaefer the Adrien Broner vs. Vicente Escobedo broadcast had a higher rating on HBO than Garcia-Khan.
Khan's listed purse was $950,000 and Garcia's was $520,000. Doesn't seem like HBO has gotten much out of its investment in Khan, does it?
