Camp Antonio Margarito

In seeing Antonio Margarito last week at the gym, it's clear that he is in a good place mentally and physically. His disposition and mood are even better than prior to his bout with Miguel Cotto in 2008. And in terms of his physical conditioning, well, let's just put it this way, if the 150-pound catchweight is an advantage for anyone, it will be him. Not only is Margarito still just basically a very big welterweight now, you're not even forcing him to shave off the last three pounds- which every boxer I've spoken with believes are the hardest to cut.
Now, all this may not amount to a hill of beans. Manny Pacquiao may simply prove to be too fast and skilled when it's all said and done. But unlike a Joshua Clottey, who was utterly shameful in his non-performance against Pacquiao back in March, Margarito will actually attempt to win the fight and he will try his best to pressure Pacquiao and keep winging leather all night in Dallas.
As for Pacquiao and the camp he may or not have had in the Philippines, I've been asked what I know. Honestly, no more or less than anyone else that isn't directly inside there. And anyone that tells you differently is either lying or just making stuff up. To me, this is just life on Planet Pacquiao.
As I like to say, it is what it is.
