Arum on Boxing's PPV Numbers Game

Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez.. It'll
be interesting to see not only how well this fight does on pay-per-view and if
they will release those figures in association with HBO Pay-Per-View, in light
of how the Floyd Mayweather vs. Victor Ortiz numbers were released.
On this issue, Arum said, “For
me, it's ridiculous. The event, it's over. It's over. People want to lie about
numbers or not. Who gives a damn? If people think they're going to use the
numbers for negotiating, the first thing any normal person would do would be to
show me the proof. Don't say that's what you did. Who knows what you did?
“Besides,
it's generally irrelevant, so I couldn't care less. I couldn't comment. I don't
know what they did on the Mayweather fight. I couldn't care less what they did.”
