WBC super bantamweight champion Leo Santa Cruz is aiming to defend his title against Cristian Mijares at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 8.
"I just received word that the fight is on, so I’ll continue training hard” declared Leo.
The original list of candidates was not only Mijares, but there was also a possible confrontation with Hugo "Incredible" Cazares or Panamanian Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno.
The bout will take place on the undercard of Saul Alvarez’s comeback fight against Alfredo Angulo.
