By Jason Pribila. Saturday Night, two fighters meet with the hopes of winning impressively enough to cash in on the Mayweather Sweepstakes. Each fighter has their strengths and flaws. Each have impressive wins, as well as disappointing losses on their resumes. Each guy has enough skills to make you believe in them, but they have also let you down enough times to keep them at arm’s length.
The difference between the two is that in their losses, one fighter was beaten while being aggressive; and the other has been beaten because he refuses to pull the trigger. Everyone will always point to Khan’s chin as his major flaw. That can’t be ignored, but as a fan, I’m ok with a guy getting caught while he was daring to be great.
Khan is beatable, but his losses came while he was on the offensive. Alexander’s losses came because he allows opponents to too often dictate the pace. He’s lost fights he should have won, and I’m sure he would admit that he’s left the ring without emptying his tank.
This is a pick ‘em fight, so I’ll selfishly pick Khan to win a decision. I always felt that he was one of the few that possessed the skills to defeat Mayweather, and if in fact the winner is next for “Money”, I’m going with Khan. I feel he will be aggressive enough to score first, but remain cautious enough to get out of danger.
