SecondsOut.com - Ryan Rhodes made a successful return to the ring following his brave bid
to relieve Saul Alvarez of his WBC light-middleweight crown back in
June by out-pointing Siahei Khomitski over eight round at the Magna
Centre in Rotherham, England.
The 37 year-old from Belarus was given a standing count in round seven before going down on points, 79-74.
In
a welterweight bout former soccer star Curtis Woodhouse forced Gary
McArthur to retire with a hand injury at the end of the fourth round.
Also
at welterweight former British champion David Barnes made a welcome
return after nearly two years out when he out-pointed Ghanian Isaac
Quartey over six rounds. The scores were 60-54 on referee Howard
Foster’s card.
