Both Manchester's Ricky Hatton and his opponent Colombian and IBF jr. welterweight world champ, Juan Urango weighed in under the 140 lb limit at 139 lbs.
In the co-feature bout Mexico's Jose Luis Castillo weighed in at 139 while his opponent from Cameroon Herman Ngoudju weighed in at 140 lbs.

Realtorchill: What is your prediction for next week’s fight?
Jorge Arce: No more than eight rounds.
RC: Why so long?
Jorge Arce: Because I have a lot of respect for my opponent.
RC: Whom would you like to fight next?
JA: Martin Castillo or Vic Darchinyan.
RC: What is your favorite place to fight?
JA: Los Angeles because of the Mexican contingent.
