She is a lady out of the ring, but a beast when it comes to the square circle. And come fight night June 12th , undefeated IBA flyweight champ Melinda Cooper 18-0 (10) looks to devour yet another foe as she takes on battle-tested Donna Biggers 19-7-1 (16) on Fox Sport's Net Best Damn Championship Fight Night Period.

Cooper, a former amateur stand out, made her profesional debut at the age of seventeen, and by the age of nineteen the Las Vegas native was a world champion.

She is quick, ring savvy and powerful, and with youth on her side Cooper looks to wreak havoc on the fight world for years to come.

In this exclusive interview conducted by Doghouse Boxing, the undefeated one gives her thoughts on her upcoming fight as well as future, enjoy.

Benny Henderson Jr.: You are preparing for what would appear to be your toughest task to date when you face off against Donna Lee Biggers, give the readers your thoughts on that match-up.

Melinda Cooper:
I am really not to worried about the fight, people are saying stuff because I have not fought but I still have been training so I think I will be fine.

BH: Donna has compiled a few losses, but that was against some stiff competition, and that does not take away the fact that she has sixteen knockouts in her nineteen wins. So it appear that she has the experience and the pop to make it a tough fight. Is her experience and power a major concern?

MC:
I am glad that she is experienced because that way after I beat her people will give me credit.

BH: Why would a lady such as yourself want to climb in the ring and become a professional boxer?

MC:
(Laughs) I don't know, I like the sport. I love boxing and I am good at it.

BH: What has been the hardest aspect of being a lady in the boxing business, and what have you learned about the business as well as yourself since your jump in the pros?

MC:
It is real hard to get recognition, it is hard trying to find a good manager and good trainer. It is a lot of hard work.

BH: What was it like for you to become a world champion, walk the readers through the fight and when you were declared the winner.

MC:
It was indescribable, it was breath taking. I became a world champion at nineteen and I was just so happy. Now all I want to do is fight the best and become world champion again.

BH: Besides boxing what are some other goals you have in life?

MC:
I am in school now and looking to become a pharmacist.

BH: What can the fight fans expect from Melinda Cooper come June 12th?

MC:
They can expect a good fight, I come to fight and I know she is coming to fight so it is going to be a great fight. I am coming to show everybody that I have not just been laying around this past year?

BH: Is there any message that you would like to send out to Donna before the fight?

MC:
Be ready!

BH: Anything in closing?

MC:
I want to thank my team and all my supporters.

I would like to thank Bob Trieger for setting up this interview, and a thanks goes out to Melinda for her time and thoughts.
