Interview by Benny Henderson Jr., Doghouse Boxing (Oct 6, 2008) DoghouseBoxing.com
If the third time is a charm, then the fight fans should prepare for an explosive showing as the former two time Ring Rulers 145-pound amateur champion Will Campuzano (2-0) takes center stage this Friday night at the Horseshoe Casino in Bossier City, LA, as he takes on jiu jitsu freak Jason Horak (2-0) in the main event of Cage Kings “Destruction at the Dome”.

Campuzano, who is the former Ring Rulers Texas and 145-pound Grand Prix champion, banged out an
impressive amateur record of (9-1), and thus far in his two professional cage fights has stopped both opponents.

Come fight night, Campuzano looks to continue his winning ways in what can be expected as a hell of a main event, can the grappler Horak take down Campuzano and end his winning streak, or can Will, a well known striker bang his way to his third victory? Be sure to check it all out at the Horseshoe Casino Riverdome in Bossier City, La, for now read on to see what Will had to say on the upcoming clash, enjoy.

Benny Henderson Jr.: You have your third professional fight coming up this Friday against Jason Horak, give the readers your thoughts on that match-up.

Will Campuzano:
To be honest, I am not really worried about anything. He can grapple, I fair pretty well against grapplers.

BH: I have seen you fight in the amateurs and in the pros, and I feel that you have a lot of great strengths, but what do you feel are your greatest strengths?

WC:
Everybody knows that I am a striker, a lot of people do not know but I am good on the ground as well. I would rather duke it out and trade than grapple, but I can do either.

BH: What do you know about your upcoming opponent?

WC:
That he is a grappler, that is pretty much it.

BH: What was it like stepping in the cage as a pro compared to the amateurs?

WC:
You seen my first pro fight at the Horseshoe?

BH: Yes I was there.

WC:
I fought more aggressive and I am really not that aggressive, I am pretty much laid back. I could of went either way to the ground or what, but I wanted to get it over with as soon as possible.

BH: Why did you become a fighter?

WC:
To be honest, I have the Mexican background and I grew up watching boxing, and I always knew that I would be some kind of prize fighter. I always thought that I was going to be a boxer, but there were no boxing gyms around my town. But we had a MMA gym and it went on from there.

BH: There have been a lot of great Mexican fighters in the boxing world.

WC:
Yes there has, for my second fight I used some pretty good boxing that you would probably like, it is on You Tube, check it out. I am really a laid back kind of fighter, I will prey on my opponents then explode.

BH: What has it been like working with Ring Rulers and Cage Kings?

WC:
It has been good, they have been really good to me. They have always managed to find me good opponents and they have helped me a lot with my development as a fighter.

BH: Who are some of the guys you try to emulate in the ring or cage?

WC:
Boxing wise there are a lot of guys like De La Hoya, Marquez. MMA, there are a lot as well, I like to take a little from everyone in the MMA.

BH: What can the fight fans expect from you come October 10th?

WC:
I am really laid back, I am going to try to do my best.

BH: If you could send out a message to Jason before the fight what would you say?

WC:
I always give my opponents respect.
