Benny Henderson Jr.
You have a fight coming up July sixteenth against Travis Walker, give the readers your thoughts on the fight.

Manuel Quezada
It is a big fight and I am very excited.

BH
I know that when you and I spoke before, you told me, and in fact in was the title of our first interview together, “I want to prove to people that I can fight”. If this the fight that will prove that to the people?

MQ
Definitely, I have the record but now I have to prove it. I have to back it up now. I am not going go in there and walk all over this guy, he is a tough opponent and we are looking forward to the fight.

BH
When you look at Walker, what do you see as his strengths that can pose a serious threat, and what weaknesses do you feel that you can capitalize on?

MQ
He is a big powerful guy, he comes in with heavy hands, both hands are heavy. His weaknesses, I don’t see many, other than not having a lot of head movement. He is not used to getting hit, and he is used to the one knocking everybody out.

BH
You have called out fighters like Brian Minto and John Ruiz. Now that you are fighting Travis Walker, what does Travis bring differently status wise than the two fighters previously mentioned?

MQ
I was calling out the others guys because the were ranked a little higher, Travis was up there as well. A win over Walker would really help push me up to the top, her has been in there with top fighters.

BH
What do you bring to the heavyweight division, what makes you different than the other fighters out there trying to get a title shot?

MQ
I think bring a strong demeanor to the ring, I a not really known and I like that, but once I get in the ring they will find out who I am, and that I am a good fighter and I can compete with them.

BH
If you could send out a message to Travis Walker before this fight using Doghouse as a platform what would you say?

MQ
I am not much of a talker, would just say good luck and I wish him the best.

BH
Manuel, I dig yah brother but you are to damn nice, come in man, get mean. (Both start laughing)

MQ
That is who I am I am not going to change, that is being honest, I am going to respect them until they disrespect me, Travis is a hell of a guy. Don’t get me wrong, it is going to be a good fight, I am ready and I am sure he is going to be, so it will be a good fight.

BH
Do you think this fight will go the distance?

MQ
Good question, according to his track record, I don’t see him knocking me out, I don’t see it happening. When he steps up in competition he has been hurt, so I don’t know.

BH
You have fought many times in Lemoore, CA, basically your home turf, what is it like fighting in front of your fans in that area, and what can the fans expect from you come fight night?

MQ
Expect a good fight, Travis Walker is going to bring the best out of me, I know he will be ready to fight. I love fighting in my home away from my home.

BH
If you could send out a message to the heavyweight division what would it be?

MQ
I am for real, I am definitely for real and you have to watch out. I have been training for Goossen for a while and sparring with top fighters, I am legit, people don’t know it but they will find out.

BH
Anything in closing?

MQ
I just want to thank you, thank the Goossen’s, my team, my fans, thanks Mario, I am blessed to be in this position.
