What do you get when you throw in two hard hitting hungry fighters into a squared ring? One heck of a show that is more than likely going to end in a severe knockout! And after all that is what the fight fans crave, an action packed all out slugfest that will end with somebody flat on the canvas. And that is what the crowd on hand at the Buffalo Run Casino in Miami, OK is expecting this Friday night, and the beat down can be seen live on Showtime’s ShoBox: The New Generation at 11 PM ET/PT.

This is a junior middleweight match-up that features two power-punching pugilists who are both looking for a win to take that next step in their careers. Southpaw Sechew Powell 17-0 (11 KO’s) wants to continue his undefeated climb to the top and the Brooklyn native will have his hands full with the heavy handed Armenian Archak Ter-Meliksetian 15-1 (12 KO’s) in this Showtime showdown.

Powell has rolled the competition with his slick style and furious fists for the past three years now, thumping the likes of Sergio Melendez (2nd round TKO) and in a fast paced twenty-two second thriller last May, Powell socked and rocked the then undefeated Cornelius Bundrage in the first round. Just recently Powell dispatched fight veteran Santiago Samaniego in three rounds and the twenty-six year old banger isn’t planning on letting up.

In the other corner we have another iron-fisted fighter who wants to make a serious statement with a win over Powell. Archak Ter-Meliksetian began his career on 2002 starting off with five straight KO victories. The Armenian has overwhelmed his opponents with his in-your-face style and has defeated the likes of Eduardo Sanchez for the vacant GBU light middleweight title (1st round KO) and in his last fling stopped Reggie Davis in three rounds. A victory on Friday night would make things even sweeter for the twenty-seven year old.

So can the ‘Shark Attack’ carry Powell into deep waters and devour his prey or will the ‘Iron Horse’ trample another unsuspecting victim?

As it was said if styles make fights this will one heck of a match-up, and it is. But who will be left standing while the other is face down in defeat? If you break down the opposition both have faced then you have to give it to Powell for the quality. But while this is definitely a step up in class for Ter-Meliksetian, it appears he is willing and ready to face the solid southpaw. Regardless of who wins or loses this is going to be a blast for the fight fans. ShoBox has really brought out the big guns in entertainment this weekend, all out brawls are always a crowd favorite. And it seems the first throw down will be a crowd pleasing, powerful showing as well.

Bad blood with attitudes and knockout power; what else can a fight fan ask for in a fight?

Allen Green 17-0 (11 KO’s) is outspoken, very talented and eager to put a hurting on his opponent Jaidon Codrington 9-0 (9 KO’s) this Friday night, and he wasn’t afraid of telling the world what his intentions are earlier this week. The Oklahoman native wants to hand out a face full of fists to the unbeaten youngster and give Codrington a taste of defeat! But the young heavy handed New Yorker isn’t impressed with Green and looks to Allen as another victim and that only adds to the drama. And if truth be known that could be Codrington’s fatal mistake.

Green is physically strong and more than capable of putting the leather to Codrington who is still green as a pro. Much more experience and power can be dangerous, but both boxers are brash and not afraid to throw down so more than likely somebody is going to see stars! Can you say ‘goodnight’?

Showtime is really coming on strong this week with the scheduled match-ups. If the actual battles are as massive as the talk then there are definitely going to be some banged up egos at the end of this one. And the good thing about it is we all can catch it all live this Friday night on Showtime’s ShoBox: The New Generation at 11 PM ET/PT, so tune in because somebody is going down!
