In this exclusive interview, Chilemba talks about his victory over Edison Miranda, his upcoming match-up against Erdei, and more
. Enjoy!

Benny Henderson Jr.
: You are scheduled to fight former champion Zsolt Erdei, it would appear that this bout is going to be a tough one, your thoughts on the match-up?

Issac Chilemba
:
Yes, I do not expect it to be easy. I want to get to the top and nothing worth achieving is ever easy, that does not however mean that it is not possible. I just have to work hard be disciplined and determined..

BH
: You do have a knack for handing fighters their first loss of their careers, six in total that you have put a blemish on their records. What are your keys to victory in beating Erdei, and derailing his victory train?

IC:
I have been called the record breaker. My key is to do what I always do, I adapt to my opponent, use it to my advantage and do whatever is necessary to win.

BH: You have went back and forth between super middleweight and light heavyweight, all though it has been two years since you have fought at the 168-pound limit, do you see yourself dropping back down again, or staying in the division you are in now?

IC:
I am very comfortable in light heavy and happy to stay here, although if opportunities present themselves that are too good to pass up we will have to decide at the time.

BH
: You had a good showing against all around tough guy Edison Miranda, besides that fight, what other fights are you most proud of?

IC:
I am proud of all my fights as each one has taught me something new about myself, especially the one I lost.

BH
: What do you feel are your greatest assets as a boxer?

IC:
My belief in my abilities and my dreams.

BH
: I know you are not looking past Erdei, but the light heavyweight division has some big names in the division. If victorious, who would you like to step in the ring with next?

IC
:
I want to prove myself as a world class boxer so I want the champions holding the top belts and ring magazine.

BH: Any message you would like to send out to Zsolt Erdei before the fight?

IC:
Thank you for giving me the opportunity. I am coming to do the business.

BH
: Anything in closing?

IC:
I would like to thank my team, my manager, Jodi Solomon, co-manager Damian Ramirez, my trainer Alan Toweel, Dibella promotions and HBO for all believing in me, fighting for me and giving me the opportunity to prove myself and of course boxing fans all over the world. I would also like to thank God without whom none of this would be possible..
