Manager Mark Cipparone’s Club 1957 boxers are looking for a breakout year in 2015. He’s got heavyweight Joey “Tank” Dawejko 13-3-2 (6), welterweight Ray “Tito” Serrano 20-2 (9), super featherweights Tevin “American Idol” Farmer 18-4-1 (4) and Jason Sosa all scheduled for fights.

Cipparone owns Rocco’s Collision Auto Body shops in New Jersey with Philadelphia roots. He started with Farmer whose brother worked for him in Philadelphia. Being new in the business Cipparone makes it clear he’s in a learning stage.

Philly’s Serrano will be fighting this Friday on ESPN2 against Jeremy Bryan, 17-5 (7), of Paterson, NJ, from the Paramount Theatre, Huntington, NY. Dawejko and Sosa are scheduled at the 2300 Arena in South Philly on March 6th. Farmer’s date in April is not set but his match is. All four are unbeaten since joining Cipparone.

Serrano won his first 18 fights before dropping a pair against Karim Mayfield, 15-1 and Emmanuel Taylor 15-0 for his promoter Star Boxing. After 22 months of inactivity he came back in November scoring a stoppage and in January defeating Jerome Rodriguez, 6-1-3. He has fought as a light welter now a welter. He is 25 and has defeated Ayi Bruce 13-2 and Jay Krupp 12-1.

Dawejko is from Philly and had a very successful amateur career. He is short for a heavyweight but has legs like tree trunks where he gets his power from that left hook. Turning pro in 2009 he was 7-0-1 with a win over John Lennox, 6-0. His losses were to Dorsett Barnwell, 6-0, Didier Bence, 6-0, Charles Martin, 11-0-1 and drew with Jarrell Miller, 4-0. He defeated fellow Philly state amateur champ Mark Rideout, 4-0-2 and Derric Rossy, 28-7 in his first 8 rounder. In August of 2014 he joined Club 1957 and has scored 3 straight first round stoppages. He fights Nigerian Enobong Umohette, 9-2 next. He is only 24 and by winning his next fight he is scheduled to meet Philly trained Amir “Hardcore” Mansour 21-1 (16) at the 2300 Arena on ESPN2 on May 8th. He won Gold at the World Youth championships in Mexico in 2008. Peltz Boxing is his promoter.

Sosa is 13-1-3 (9), out of Camden, NJ, and has been 10-0-2 with knockouts in his last 8 fights along with those 2 draws with Angel Ocasio 6-0. He defeated Isaac Suarez 7-1, Joseph Perez 10-1 and Michael Brooks 10-1-1. He meets Costa Rica’s Bergman Aguilar 13-1 next. Sosa is 26 and won his first fight under Club 1957 in PR. Peltz Boxing is his promoter.

Farmer has won 11 straight including Camilo Perez 9-1, Noel Echeverria 1-1, Emanuel Gonzalez 14-0 and Viktor Cherous 15-1-1 in his last fight. Under Club 1957 he is unbeaten. His 4 losses were to all unbeaten boxers not losing since 2012. He is 24 and DiBella Entertainment is his promoter.
