Many Are Calling Out Golovkin But Won’t Sign On the Dotted Line!

The latest is former WBO champion Peter “Kid Chocolate” Quillin. The last time they spared the WBA middleweight champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin chased Quillin out of the ring! So Quillin gives up his WBO title and now is back to square one wanting it back now that Andy Lee has it on April 11th.

Miguel Cotto is the WBC middleweight champion and GGG defeated the WBC interim champion Marco Antonio Rubio for that title so let’s get Cotto in the ring. It’s been 9 months since Cotto defeated Sergio Martinez for that title and he has nothing scheduled for a first defense. GGG just stopped the WBC’s No. 1 contender Martin Murray so what more does he have to do in order to get Cotto in the ring?

Saul Alvarez talked about fighting GGG. After that pathetic performance in losing his title to Floyd Mayweather why would he think he is qualified to fight GGG? IBF champion Jermain Taylor is losing his title after defeating Sam Soloman by way of injury. Can you imagine Taylor taking on GGG? Hassan N’Dam and Felix Sturm were scheduled for that title. Now Sturm is meeting Russia’s Fedor Chudinov the No. 1 ranked contender for the WBA title who only has 12 fights. He’s not even ranked by the IBF.

Canada’s David Lemieux who is the WBC No. 2 contender is another one calling out GGG and isn’t even ranked in the WBA. Is he looking for the WBC interim title that GGG has? One name that will never be calling out GGG is the WBA and WBC super welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather even though GGG said he is willing to make 154 to meet “Money” or go up to 168 to meet the WBA champ Andre Ward!
