At the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas Friday night on a Golden Boy Promotion Pennsylvania boxers will be in 4 of the 12 bouts over USA Showtime!

Al Haymon boxer Dennis Hasson, 16-0 (6), out of the Kensington section of Philadelphia takes on Tyrell “Hollywood” Hendrix, 10-4-2 (3), of L.A. in an 8 round light heavyweight match-up. “I’ve been training hard and looking forward to another fight (2nd since signing with Haymon),” said Hasson. His new trainer Billy Briscoe will lead Hasson into the ring Friday.

They are scheduled to leave on Wednesday. Hasson has had hard luck in the past with two management teams “making promises” so under Haymon’s guidance it looks like “3 times is a charm!” Hasson scored a 2nd round knockout in April at Rancho Mirage, CA, over Roberto Ventura in his first fight in 20 months.

Bethlehem’s Ronald Cruz, 20-3 (15), takes on Olympian southpaw Errol Spence, 12-0 (10) out of Desoto, TX, in a 10 round welterweight match-up. Cruz is coming off a loss to former world champ Kermit Cintron in his last fight. Spence has 12 fights in 19 months.

Philly’s Taneal Goyco, 6-6-1 (3), on a 2 fight win streak against good opposition in Frankie Filippone, 14-2-1, and Jeremy Trussell, 8-0, goes up against John Magda, 6-0 (5), of Rutherford, NJ, who this writer has seen fight twice and is a prospect. It’s scheduled for 6 rounds in the super middleweight division. This should be a good one.

Anthony Caputo “The Bull” Smith, 15-2 (10), of Kennett Square, PA, informed me he is fighting B.J. “El Peligroso” Flores, 29-1-1 (19), of Chandler, AZ, whom this writer saw Saturday night at Mohegan Casino in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Galen Brown was the opponent for Flores. Smith won the PA cruiser title in January. Flores had his first fight in 19 months last month scoring a 1st round KO over Adam Collins in L.A. This bout is scheduled for 8 rounds in the cruiser division.

Olympian Marcus Browne, 10-0 (7), was to fight Philly’s Yusaf Mack who has pulled out of the bout for unknown reasons. It would have been a step up for Browne. Mack has recently signed with KEA Boxing.
