“I’ve had 2 years to rest up and I’m ready to get back into the heavyweight picture,” said Chazz Witherspoon. Witherspoon, 30-3 (22), of Philadelphia, PA, will also be promoting the show under Silver Spoon Promotions, with J Russell Peltz and Brittany Rogers, matchmaking. It will take place at Riverwinds Community Center, in West Deptford, NJ, on Saturday night!
Witherspoon will be taking on Tyyab Beale, 9-4-1 (3), of Newark, NJ, whose 8 fight streak was stopped in his last fight. Witherspoon last fought in April of 2012 losing after a 4 fight win streak. It will be an 8 round heavyweight main event. He is a former amateur champ.
On the undercard will be his kin and son of former world champion “Terrible” Tim Witherspoon, Tim Witherspoon, Jr., 10-4-1 (2), of Philadelphia, taking on prospect Jeff Lentz, 3-0 (1), of Lanoka Harbor, NJ, in a 6 round welterweight match-up. Kevin Womack, Jr., 4-5-1 (2), of Baltimore, MD, takes on Anthony Prescott, 3-3-1 (1), of Cherry Hill, NJ, over rounds in the welterweight division.
Grandson of “Jersey” Joe Walcott, Louis Cream, 3-0 (0), of Camden, NJ, meets Malik Jackson, 0-3-3 (0), of Newark, NJ, in a 4 round light middleweight match. It’s been 2 ½ years since Cream’s last fight.
Nick Valliere, of Forked River, NJ, makes his debut against Jamil Gadsden, 0-5 (0), of Brighton, NJ, over 4 rounds in the welterweight division. Vineland, NJ, middleweight Matthew Gonzalez makes his debut against. Philly’s Rafael Machado, 0-1 (0), originally from Portugal, over 4 rounds.
