Iron Mike Promotions comes back to PA to the Consol Energy Center, Pittsburgh, PA, Friday night with Sammy “the Who Can Mexican” Vasquez, 15-0 (11), of Monessen, PA, No. 15, meeting James Stevenson, 21-0 (14), of Baltimore, MD, No. 6 for the vacant USBA welterweight title over 12 rounds.

Vasquez is a 2-time Iraq veteran and has scored knockouts in his last 6 fights and by winning the USBA title looks to enter the IBF rankings. Stevenson proposes to be an obstacle in his way in the biggest fight of his career.

Monty Meza Clay, 35-3 (21), of Rankin, PA, puts his 7 fight winning streak on the line against Rene Alvarado, 20-3 (14), of Managua, Nicaragua, the former WBC Silver featherweight champion over 8 rounds of boxing in the lightweight division.

Clay holds a knockout over former IBF featherweight champion Eric Aiken. Alvardo in his last fight lost to former Olympian Rock Juarez in May in a defense of his WBC Silver featherweight title over 12 rounds.

“The Ukranian Lion” Ievgen Khytrov, 5-0 (5), of Brooklyn, NY, takes on Willie “Fortune 500” Fortune, 17-1 (8), of Detroit, MI, over 6 rounds in the middleweight division. Uma Urman of Fight Promotions Inc is co promotor of this event over USA FOX Sports 1.
