Two-time IBF cruiserweight champion Steve “USS” Cunningham, 23-2 (12) of Philadelphia makes the second defense of his title he re-won last June stopping Troy Ross of Canada. His opponent is Enad Lacina, 19-2 (10) of Germany.

Cunningham won the IBF title in a rematch with Krzysztof Wlodarczy of Poland. Wlodarczy won the WBC title in May of 2010 in his second try after a draw with Giacobbe Fragomeni and defeating him in the rematch.

Cunningham’s opponent was born in Serbia but lives in Berlin. The fight was postponed last month as part of a twin-bill. Cunningham has defeated the other 3 champions. As told earlier, Wlodarczy in a rematch, Marco Huck of Germany, the WBO champ won the title in 2009 and has already made 5 defenses. He and Cunningham both are promoted by Sauerland Event. Guillermo Jones the WBA champ was defeated in 2005 prior to both becoming champions.

Cunningham is trained by Nazim Richardson at Shuler’s Gym in West Philadelphia. Richardson also trains former world middleweight champion Bernard Hopkins who fought to a draw in his last fight for the WBC light heavyweight title and is scheduled for a rematch in May. Cunningham is never in need of sparring as long as “Fast” Eddie Chambers and Chazz Witherspoon are around.

Steve Herelius, 21-1-1 (12) of France defends his WBA interim cruiserweight title against Cuban Yoan Pablo Hernandez, 23-1 (12) of Germany in the co-feature. The show will take place in Germany. Former IBF middleweight champion Arthur Abraham, 31-2 (25) will fight Stjepan Bozic, 24-4 (15) out of Croatia a 10 round non-title bout.
