Dee Lee Promotions Returns to Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City Friday Night with Philly’s USBA Champion Derek Ennis, 22-2-1 (13) against Cuban Giorbis Barthelemy, 24-8-2 (9), of Hialeah, FL, in a 10 round non-title bout. It’s been 18 years since the Casino Hotel has put on a boxing event. New Jersey Hall of Fame promoter Diane Fischer promises Dennis Gomes of Resorts whom she has promoted 30 fights for over the years a great return of boxing to Resorts!

Scheduled on the undercard was heavyweight George “Monk” Foreman who was cut in training. His legendary father Big George Foreman will still be making an appearance per his brother Roy Foreman.

“The Next Generation” will have former world heavyweight champion Bruce “the Atlantic City Express” Seldon’s son Isiah Seldon, 3-0 (1), of Atlantic City seeking to extend his young streak to 4 against Juan Zapata, 4-1 (1), of Trujillo, Honduras. From Camden, NJ, the grandson of former heavyweight champion “Jersey” Joe Walcott, Lewis Cream will be making his debut at light middleweight against Yehudy Vargas, 1-0, of Trenton, NJ.

Joey Tiberi, 2-1 (2), of Newark, DE, will try to get back on track representing the Fighting Tiberi’s of Delaware, against Shawn Hodson, 1-5 (1), of Franklin, IN, in a 4 round featherweight match. Atlantic City’s exciting Althea “Lady Thunder” Saunders, 2-0, will not only fight Melissa “Little Miss Tyson” St. Vil, 1-1-1, of Brooklyn, NY, but once again sing the National Anthem prior to the main event. She had a 63-7 amateur record and is a pleasure to see and hear!

Back in 1993 when Resorts put on their last show Darroll “Doin Damage” Wilson of Pleasantville, NJ, in his third fight scored a first round knockout. Now we go full circle and his son Jaywon Woods, 8-1-1 (5), of Danville, VA, where Wilson was born, is scheduled on the undercard in a cruiserweight 4 rounder.

Also, Ali Santos of Camden will be making his debut against Eric Newell, 1-0 (1), of Philly, in a heavyweight 4 rounder. In addition Eduardo Torres, of Vineland will be making his debut against Marcus Smith, 1-3 (1), of Glassboro, NJ. Todd Eriksson, 2-5-2 (1), of Dover, NJ, will meet Lawrence Jones, 3-4-2 (1), of Washington

Ennis has been in some of the most exciting matches between Philly and Atlantic City. He has won 10 in a row and was schedule to fight an IBF eliminator for the #2 spot against Deandre Latimore who pulled out of their match with a virus. Barthelemy who will be filling in is a southpaw and former NBA welterweight champion.

Doors open at 7:00 pm with first bout slated for 8:00 pm.
