Bionic Bull Promotions returns to South Philly High School Saturday, April 4th with Gabe “King” Rosado 10-3 (6) on top after his last two appearances were on ESPN2. Rosado looks to re-establish his Philly roots after being away for almost a year. A major upset over previously unbeaten James Moore, of Ireland, in Brooklyn last June opened the boxing world’s eyes to this Philly prospect. Unable to obtain another major fight Rosado found himself in the camps of Bernard Hopkins and “Sugar” Shane Mosley. Then in February in Salisbury, Maryland, Rosado came
up short against hot unbeaten ct Fernando Guerrero snapping a 4 fight win streak. Filling in for Manuel Guzman will be the always tough middleweight Ariel Espinal 6-7-2 (2) whose last five opponents have had a combined 33-1 record. Rosado will compromise as he did in the Guerrero fight coming in over his normal light middleweight limit in this 6 round bout.

In the other 6 round super middleweight bout Kensington’s unbeaten Dennis Hasson 7-0 (2) will take on Atlantic City’s Johnny Hayes 6-4-1 (4). Hasson is the nephew of the former world light heavyweight champion Tommy Loughran.

Pottstown’s Travis Thompson 3-4-1 (2) whose last bout was in Las Vegas will take on Philly’s Gustavo Dailey 2-5 whose last three fights have been out of state, in a lightweight fight that promises to be an all out war with both fighters looking to get back on the winning side. Heavyweight Big John Mercurio who made his debut in the initial Bionic Bull promotion in January with a 1st round knockout will take on John Smith 1-4 (1) of Indianapolis who also claims a knockout over Mercurio’s opponent will be looking to give the local Philly fighter all he can handle.

Several debuts will be on the card featuring lightweight Lonnie Jackson, Jr. who had an outstanding amateur career and heavyweight Dan Grafton who promises to bring a big following and a big punch for his opponent. Philly’s Ramon Ellis and Lamont Barnes will also be featured on this 8 bout card with Nick Tiberi doing the matchmaking.
