Ricky Hatton still in the Hospital - Maybe out in a week

Ricky Hatton remains in hospital after being Ko'ed by a severe stomach flu. It had been feared that Hatton was struck down by the Swine Flu, but this is not the case.

Hatton remains in the Hospital (transferred by Tameside Hospital to the private Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle), recovering from a gastric problem that has been painful with stomach cramps and accompanied by high a high temperature.

According to reports, Hatton is stable on a drip and is hoping to be discharged next week.

Since being admitted to the Hospital, Hatton has received a lot of well wishes from concerned fans. Quoted in the media, Hatton released this statement: "Through the Manchester Evening News I want to thank all those people who have sent me and my family goodwill texts and cards. They have done a lot to lift my spirits. I am humbled that so many people are concerned."
