Alex Ariza speaks - I'm Floyd Mayweather's New Strength and Conditioning coach... By Kyle R. Lucas, Doghouse Boxing (Sept 22, 2014) TweetFollow @DoghouseBoxing
According to a report by the Manila Standard / Viva Sports, Alex Ariza, the former strength and conditioning coach for Manny Pacquiao, is officially now part of Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr's TMT (The Money Team).
Quoted by the publication, Ariza stated: "I signed an official contract for two years to serve as Floyd’s strength and conditioning coach'.
Although Mayweather has only two more fights left under his contract with SHOWTIME, Ariza believes (as his 2 year contracts indicates), Mayweather plans on fighting for at least the next two years.
For those of us who like to speculate, this could be the first in many moves that finally gets us the road to Mayweather vs. Pacquiao. Not a bad move by Mayweather, as Ariza has a solid reputation as strength and conditioning coach - plus this would be a move that may get inside Pacquiao's head, if not at least give Mayweather an inside edge.
