Boxing.net.au was speaking with the Champ shortly after his TKO victory and this is what he had to say...

TC: How was the Weigh in Champ?

DPL: We Only had a few days notice, I had to drop a few kg which wasn't much of a problem, the Weigh in was Good!

TC: How was the first Round?

DPL: Wasn't really a one way street! It was Toe to Toe in 1st round! We Knew he would come out hard and try stick em on me, the fight was a lot quicker then I thought it would be for a 12 round fight.

TC: Did you try to stop him on purpose?

DPL:
Plan was to stick on the jab. Landing a few good shots on him. I Wobbled him in the 1st round put him on 8 count, he got a little wobbly in 2nd round and the ref put another 8 count on him, I Landed a few good shots in the 3rd round and the Ref stopped the fight.

TC: Was the fight's pace high?

DPL:
The Pressure was always on!

TC: Any Plans for Tonight?

DPL: I'm feeling a bit tired, but we might go out for a few drinks. It was my 21st a few weeks ago and I wasn't able to party at all due to the upcoming bout we had on the 30th that was postponed. So we might go out and do some catching up tonight
