“On The Ropes” Boxing Radio returns this week with host Jenna
J to talk about all the recent fights and news going on in the sport of
boxing. In this episode I will cover the exciting HBO match between
Daniel Geale and Darren Barker in which Barker had to survive a 6th
round knock down on his road to winning a split decision and being
crowned the new IBF middleweight champion. I will also cover the fight
which shocked many boxing fans, Nathan Cleverly vs. Sergey Kovalev. The
fight saw the highly touted Cleverly get dominated early and eventually
get viciously stopped early in the 4th round. I will talk about the
future of both men and what this means for the light heavyweight division.
Later in the show I will preview some fights which are set to happen

First Brandon Rios drops by to talk about starting off his training camp
for his November bout with Manny Pacquiao. Brandon mentions his
experiences in the worldwide press tour he and Manny Pacquiao just
wrapped up and he voices his thoughts on all his critics who are
counting him out of the fight. The second guest is none other than world
super middleweight champion Andre “S.O.G” Ward who has been out of the
ring since his impressive win over Chad Dawson back in September of
2012. Ward talks about the issues that have kept him in the side lines
this long and what his plans are for the future of his career. Our main
guest for this week is legendary Hall Of Fame fighter, Iron Mike Tyson.
Mike makes his debut appearance to the show to talk about becoming a
promoter for the first time. Mike talks about “Iron Mike Productions”
which will be holding its first show on Friday, August 23rd and will air
live on ESPN Friday Night Fights. Aside from this, Mike gives insight
into the new chapter of his life as an entertainer and he also discusses
today’s biggest boxing stars.
