MIDDLEWEIGHTS: Big shakeup: Oscar De La Hoya (number one at junior middle
last issue) is now number two at 160 pounds, while the man who gave him such
a tough introduction to the division, Felix Sturm, jumps from seventh to
third. Rodney Jones (third last issue) exits as he is now campaigning at 154
pounds. Robert Allen falls from second to fourth after losing to Bernard
Hopkins in a bid to win the world title. William Joppy (fourth last issue),
Jermain Taylor (fifth last issue), and Maselino Masoe (sixth last issue)
each drop one position due to the reshuffling.
JUNIOR MIDDLEWEIGHTS: De La Hoya's move up to middleweight allows Shane
Mosley (second last issue) to assume the top spot. Fernando Vargas slips
from third to fourth due to relative inactivity, while Kassim Ouma improves
from fourth to second, and Verno Phillips, who has been on a good run since
losing to Ouma in 2001, jumps from fifth to third. De La Hoya's exit also
lifts Javier Castillejo (sixth last issue), Daniel Santos (seventh last
issue), and Travis Simms (eighth last issue) one rung each. Rodney Jones,
who had previously fought at both 160 and 154, appears to have settled at
junior middle, and is currently number eight.
WELTERWEIGHTS: No changes.

LIGHTWEIGHTS: Jose Luis Castillo (second last issue) is the new world
champion, thanks to his decision over Juan Lazcano, who stays at the
number-one spot. Castillo's ascension allows everybody rated below him last
issue to move up one place, and makes room for Isaac Hlatshwayo at number
10.
JUNIOR LIGHTWEIGHTS: Steve Forbes (sixth last issue) departs as he is now
planning to campaign at lightweight. Forbes' removal raises everybody rated
below him last issue one notch, and allows streaking Mike Anchondo to debut
at number 10.
